Traditional BIA scales send a small electrical current through the lower body, limiting the amount of information they can estimate. The Scale BodyScan completes the circuit by using contact points on both the feet and the extendable handle, allowing it to estimate body composition across the arms, legs, and torso. This segmented approach provides a more detailed overview of muscle and fat distribution throughout the body.

The device measures 17 body composition metrics, including weight, Body Mass Index (BMI), body fat, muscle mass, body water, bone mass, metabolism, and regional body composition estimates. Seven key measurements are displayed immediately on the built-in 4.7-inch LED screen, including weight, body fat percentage, BMI, muscle mass percentage, bone mass, protein, and body water.

For long-term monitoring, the scale connects to the Wyze mobile application through Bluetooth 5.0. Users can review historical measurements, generate body composition reports in PDF format, and synchronize data with Apple Health, Health Connect, and Fitbit for broader health tracking.

The Scale BodyScan is also designed for multi-user households. It can automatically recognize up to eight individual users, while an unlimited guest mode allows occasional measurements without affecting saved personal records. Additional operating modes are available for weighing babies, pets, and luggage.

The scale supports users weighing between 5 and 180 kg. Its indium tin oxide-coated glass platform allows measurements from various standing positions, and the device can operate for up to nine months using four AAA batteries.

By combining an eight-electrode measurement system with segmented body analysis and long-term health tracking, the Wyze Scale BodyScan expands the capabilities of consumer smart scales, offering users a more comprehensive view of body composition from home.
