Kavanaugh, also known as Jim, serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Saint Louis Football Club, World Wide Technology, Inc. and is Co-Founder and serves as Chief Executive Officer at World Wide Technology Holding Co., Inc. Mr. Kavanaugh has served as President of the Board for St. Patrick Center, an organization that supports the homeless.

 

 

As current Chief Executive Officer for WWT, he is recognized for his visionary Internet strategy, utilizing emerging technology to lead WWT and its industry specific operating companies. With over 15 years of experience in the technology industry, Mr. Kavanaugh was employed by Future Electronics prior to founding WWT, where he worked in sales and management for two years.

Mr. Kavanaugh co founded World Wide Technology, Inc. in July 1990. He co-founded World Wide Technology Holding Co., Inc. and Telcobuy.com LLC. He served as President of World Wide Technology, Inc. from 1990 to October 1999. From October 1999 to 2002, he served as Chief Executive Officer for Telcobuy.com LLC. He has been a Director of telcobuy.com, Inc. since January 2000. He has been a trustee of the board of Saint Louis University since 2010. He was drafted as the second pick in the Professional Soccer Draft and was a member of the U.S. Olympic Soccer Team in 1984.

He has been awarded the EY Entrepreneur of the Year and earned a position in the Saint Louis University Business Hall of Fame. Additionally, he has been involved in supporting many local and nationwide charitable organizations, such as St. Baldrick’s Foundation, Toys for Tots, Cardinal Glennon, Junior Achievement and United Way. In 1983, he was selected as MS Amateur Player of the Year and played on the United States Pan-American Team.

 In 1986, he was chosen as the second pick in the first round of the professional soccer draft by the Los Angeles Lazers. After his professional soccer career, he continued his involvement in St. Louis Sports, coaching his son and daughter’s teams at St. Louis Scott Gallagher soccer club. He is also an owner of the St. Louis Blues and was recently inducted into the St. Louis Sports Hall of Fame, being chosen for the 2014 President’s Choice Award. Mr. Kavanaugh holds bachelors degree in marketing from St. Louis University.
